Canterbury Center is located in the eastern panhandle of West Virginia in Shepherdstown. Canterbury Center offers both LongTerm Care and ShortStay Rehabilitation. Most ShortStay patients are recovering after a surgery or illness or need support with maintenance of a chronic illness. We offer Physical, Speech and Occupational Therapy in our new rehabilitation gym built in 2008. Our mission is to improve the lives we touch through the delivery of high-quality health care and everyday compassion. This is woven into the fabric of everything we do. Meals are served restaurant-style in our beautiful dining room. The Center employs nearly 80 staff members to meet the needs of our patients. In 2010, more than 90% of our patients and residents said they would recommend Canterbury Center as an excellent choice for care! Canterbury Center is a recipient of the American Health Care Association Bronze Quality Award.

Dr. Miranda Albaugh
Medical DirectorDr. Albaugh graduated from the West Virginia University School of Medicine in 2004. She works in Martinsburg, WV and specializes in Family Medicine and Surgery.
Eric Rice
Director of Marketing and AdmissionsEric has worked in health care for over 25 years. He served as a Hospital Corpsman in the United States Navy, and earned his Bachelors in Healthcare Administration while on Active Duty. Since then, he has earned his Masters in Business Administration and certification as a Veteran Life Coach.
Eric is married to his high school sweetheart and they have three boys. In his off time, he enjoys photography, football and fishing, as well as spending time with family.
Eric chose to work in SNF/LTC because he feels it is important to be a part of something bigger than himself, and enjoys connecting and engaging with the diverse population we serve.
Robyn Lance
Nurse PractitionerRobyn is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner who has worked with Genesis Physician Services since 2016 and is a graduate of West Virginia University.
Prior to coming to Genesis, she worked at the National Institutes of Health for over 18 years, then transferred to the Martinsburg Veteran's Affairs Medical Center ending her 30 year government career in 2016.
She enjoys Long Term Care and thinks Geriatric medicine is the fastest growing population to serve. Robyn is married with one son and lives in Charles Town.
Staff went above and beyond
Canterbury's people skills are the best I've ever experienced. All the workers including the office staff went well beyond my needs. The rehab staff were great. My recovery was well advanced because of them. I will be back this summer after more replacement surgery.
