Richard Raskin, MD, FACP

Dr. Richard Raskin has been the Vice President of Medical Affairs for the Northeast Area since 2008. A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, and Northwestern University Medical School, Dr. Raskin received his internal medicine training at LA County-USC Medical Center and the UCLA Medical Center. His rheumatology fellowship was done at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He is board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology and is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Rheumatology.

Dr. Raskin has over 20 years experience leading physician group practices and overseeing national programs within large managed care organizations. Prior to employment with Genesis, he was Chief Medical Officer for the Eastern Region of United Healthcare for its Medicare-Advantage programs. Dr. Raskin is especially interested in advance care planning, end-of-life care and hospice, and has served on the Board of Directors of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization.
