Glenwood Center is a 125-bed skilled nursing facility offering post-hospital, short-term rehabilitation as well as long-term and respite care. We accept Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurances. Our staff is dedicated to serving the medical and rehabilitation needs of individuals recovering from an illness or injury. We are a WE HONOR VETERANS center. Glenwood Center is on a campus with two senior living buildings, Hilltop at Glenwood I and II, with 16 apartments each.

Vanessa Narmore, LNHA
AdministratorVanessa became a licensed Administrator in 2012 in the state of Georgia and in Alabama since 2015. She received a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of North Alabama. Vanessa has been employed in long term care since 1996 and came to the Genesis team in September 2015. She was excited for the opportunity to return to the North Alabama area.
Dr. Christine Davis, M.D.
Medical DirectorDr. Christine Davis graduated from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine. She has worked in the Rehabilitation and Long Term Care setting for 15 years. She has been with Genesis Healthcare for 6 years. Dr. Davis has been medical director at Glenwood Center since 2014. She is proud to serve the residents and patients in taking care of all their medical needs.
Christy Dixson
Director of NursingChristy Received her degree as a Registered nurse in 2008 from Northwest shoals Community College. She began her career at Helen Keller Hospital and worked for many years at E.C.M Hospital in the MED SURGE and ICU departments. Christy began working at Glenwood Center in 2015. She has had different roles at Glenwood which include, House Supervisor, Unit Manager and has been the Director of Nursing since 2022.
Susan Bryant
Admissions DirectorSusan graduated from Northwest Shoals Community College in 1997 with an Associates Degree in Nursing. Susan has been employed in various healthcare settings such as; Hospitals, Pharmacy and Home Health. She joined Genesis in 2022 and knew right away that long term care was where her heart belonged. Susan is excited about this new journey and looking forward to serving the resident as well as the community for many years as the new Admissions and Marketing Director for Glenwood Center.
Emily Kizer
Director of RehabilitationEmily graduated in 2008 from Wallace State Community College with an associate degree in applied science in Occupational Therapy. She has practiced Occupational Therapy in outpatient, skilled nursing and home health settings. Emily begin working at Glenwood Center in Florence in 2013 as Director of Rehab and in 2018 became the Director of Rehab at Cypress Cove in Muscle Shoals. She now manages both Glenwood and Cypress Cove therapy departments.
