River City Center is a 183-bed skilled nursing facility offering post-hospital, short-term rehabilitation as well as long-term and respite care services. We also have a specialized transitional care unit for post-hospital rehabilitation and a secured Memory Support Unit for residents with Alzheimer's or dementia. Joseph Dunavant
AdministratorJoseph joined River City in December 2021 from Diversicare of Big Springs. Joseph began his career in the healthcare industry in 2014 at St. Martin’s in The Pines, a Life Plan senior living community located in Birmingham, Alabama. Joseph joins River City after serving 7 years in various leadership roles, most of the time as an Executive Director.
Dr. Kirk Jackson, MD
Medical DirectorDr. Kirk Jackson, MD is an Internal Medicine Specialist. He graduated and completed residency from the University of South Alabama / College of Medicine medical school in 1993. He is affiliated with Decatur Morgan Hospital. Dr. Jackson has over 28 years of experience in the medical field and has served as Genesis Healthcare Medical Director for the past three years.
Miriam Stover
Admissions DirectorMiriam is the Admissions Director for River City Center in Decatur, Alabama. She graduated from Athens State University in 2009 with a Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science. Miriam has been in the healthcare field for nearly ten years and has been a dedicated worker at River City since 2010.
