Glenwood Center is a 125-bed skilled nursing facility offering post-hospital, short-term rehabilitation as well as long-term and respite care. We accept Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurances. Our staff is dedicated to serving the medical and rehabilitation needs of individuals recovering from an illness or injury. We are a WE HONOR VETERANS center. Glenwood Center is on a campus with two senior living buildings, Hilltop at Glenwood I and II, with 16 apartments each.

Vanessa Narmore, LNHA
AdministratorVanessa became a licensed Administrator in 2012 in the state of Georgia and in Alabama since 2015. She received a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of North Alabama. Vanessa has been employed in long term care since 1996 and came to the Genesis team in September 2015. She was excited for the opportunity to return to the North Alabama area.
Dr. Christine Davis, M.D.
Medical DirectorDr. Christine Davis graduated from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine. She has worked in the Rehabilitation and Long Term Care setting for 15 years. She has been with Genesis Healthcare for 6 years. Dr. Davis has been medical director at Glenwood Center since 2014. She is proud to serve the residents and patients in taking care of all their medical needs.
Deanna Petty
Director of NursingDeanna began working at Glenwood Center in 2012 as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She received her degree from Northwest Shoals Community College. In 2014 she received her Associates Degree in Nursing and has served in various positions at Glenwood including house supervisor, unit manager and Assistant Director of Nursing. Deanna has over 12 years’ experience in a skilled nursing facility.
Vicki Denman
Admissions DirectorVicki graduated from Career Tech in Louisiana in 2003 with a degree in Surgical Technology, then practiced that field for 10 years. She moved and started her own business . After running it successfully for years she decided to sell and move forward in the field of senior care. Vicki worked at Deerfield Nursing Home in Louisiana for several years when the opportunity to move to Alabama came available. She jumped on the opportunity to change scenery and a new life with her children. Vicki started working for Genesis in 2019 and enjoys the residents and family interaction, and looks forward to many more years with Genesis as the Admissions and Marketing Director.
Emily Kizer
Director of RehabilitationEmily graduated in 2008 from Wallace State Community College with an associate degree in applied science in Occupational Therapy. She has practiced Occupational Therapy in outpatient, skilled nursing and home health settings. Emily begin working at Glenwood Center in Florence in 2013 as Director of Rehab and in 2018 became the Director of Rehab at Cypress Cove in Muscle Shoals. She now manages both Glenwood and Cypress Cove therapy departments.
