Mark and Donna Boyer have both worked for Genesis HealthCare for more than 20 years. Mark is an RN Team Lead for Genesis' 24 hour/ 7 day per week CareLine and Donna is the Director of Nursing Education for Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Through their church, Mark and Donna know Bruce and Doreen Shannon, founders of 'Through These Hands' ministry. Through These Hands is a non profit organization that acquires and distributes medical supplies to developing countries. Over the last 20 years, Through These Hands has distributed supplies to over 50 different countries around the world. Due to the national shortage of PPE here in the United States, Mark and Donna reached out to the Shannon's to inquire if they had any supplies for our centers. Yesterday, Through These Hands generously donated over 1,000 N95 masks, over 2,000 standard masks and over 500 gowns! Through These Hands is staffed completely by volunteers and their motto is "Extending our Hands to Help Those In Need". And they did! Mark will personally drop off supplies to multiple Genesis Centers tomorrow.
