Dr. Arif Malik, MD
Medical DirectorDr. Arif Malik, MD, has been a practicing physician for over 20 years within the community at Ravenswood Family Medicine and Jackson General Hospital as well as serving as Medical Director at Ravenswood Village for the past 15 years. During the Covid 19 Pandemic, Genesis enacted robust protocols and precautions that were put into place to keep our admitting patients and long-term residents safe. “We created an Admission Observation Unit within the facility, in which new admissions reside for a period of 14 days. This allows our staff to daily monitor them for changes in condition, and where they are also tested for Covid-19 at regular intervals during their stay on the unit.” Patients who have been vaccinated are not subject to observation. Family visits are now being arranged, and some restrictions have been lifted based upon the individual screening process. New Rehabilitation patients will regularly meet with the therapy team and nursing, to implement a personalized plan of care that will enable them to return home. “Our goal is to provide patients with high quality rehabilitation and medical care in a COVID free environment.” If you would like to speak with me, please contact the Center at 304-273-9385.
