COVID Booster Shots
Hard to believe we are already half way through the summer! In preparation for the fall COVID and Flu season and with the new COVID BA.5 variant circulating, we are recommending all nursing home and assisted living residents receive their COVID booster and Flu shots. Centers will provide access to Flu shots in September and boosters are available now.

Amanda Young
AdministratorAmanda attended Saint Joseph’s College of Maine where she graduated with a Master’s Degree in Education with a focus on healthcare leadership & training. Amanda became a Multi-Level Nursing Home Administrator in early 2021 and joined the Genesis HealthCare family in 2019. Amanda has worked in the healthcare field for 22 years and started working as a CNA right out of high school. Amanda has always been passionate about Maine’s aging population and wants to ensure that their needs are being met. She is truly dedicated to improving the lives of her residents, making them smile every day and creating an enjoyable work environment for her employee’s. Outside of work Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband, lounging around with her two cats, anything crafty, and cooking.

Erica Lilly, RN
Director of NursingErica grew up in Belfast, Maine, then moved to Virginia in 2000. She graduated from John Tyler Community College School of Nursing in 2010. Her nursing career started in the acute care setting as an ICU Nurse and then ICU Nurse Manager until moving back to Maine in 2015. In 2015, Erica graduated from Western Governors' University with a Master's in Nursing Administration and Leadership. Her first job with Genesis was 2017 as a Clinical Reimbursement Manager. Over time, she decided to try something new and worked as a Director of Nursing in adolescent psychiatric care for two years before traveling as an Interim Director of Nursing for several different facilities. In 2021, the opportunity to work in her hometown for Genesis as the Harbor Hill CNE opened up and she was elated. Erica lives in Montville with her husband and children, enjoying all the adventures that Maine has to offer.

Jessica Mason
Admissions DirectorJessica has been a Genesis employee for 26 years and during that time she has worn many hats. Jessica was a CNA, staffing coordinator, activities director, medical records coordinator and is now our admissions director. Jessica formally trained as a dental hygienist, receiving her Associates Degree in dental hygiene from the University of Maine Augusta. Though Jessica trained to brighten people smiles, she now finds caring for and brightening the lives of the elderly population in the nursing home setting where her passion lies. Jessica enjoys serving her community and Windward Gardens as the “middle woman” between hospital, rehab to home and LTC. When Jessica isn’t working she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, baking, kayaking and just spending time near/on the water.

Mark Pollock
Director of RehabilitationMark attended the University of Maine where he graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Kinesiology and Physical Education. He then went on to Graduate from Hesser College with an Associate's Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant. Mark has also held a certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the NSCA. He has many years' experience in Orthopedic Physical Therapy as well as over 6 years' experience in geriatrics. Mark leads a very strong and highly qualified Rehab Department here at Windward Gardens which offers Physical, Occupational and Speech therapy services. When Mark is not helping patients get back on their feet he enjoys spending time in beautiful Midcoast Maine with his wife, three children and dog.

Chef Ivan S. Lopez
Dietary Account Manager, HCSGChef Lopez joined our team in 2020 bringing with him a wealth of culinary education and experience. Chef Ivan has his BA in Culinary Arts from the Culinary Institute of America and a Master’s Degree in Science from the University of Evansville. Some of Chef Ivan’s accolades include serving our country in the United States Marine Cops, apprenticing under 2 Michelin Star Recipient Michelle Burnstien, competed on chopped Chef All Stars, was the private chef apprentice to Dewayne Wade and was the banquet & wedding chef for the Samoset Resort in Rockland Maine among many other achievements. Chef Lopez helps create food so good that our residents can taste the art that goes into making the meal. The joy in seeing the residents enjoy a familiar meal that helps them bring back past memories is something Chef Ivan cherishes. “Good food is created with a humble heart and a great knowledge of food”, which is being taught to the dietary staff by Chef Ivan. When Chef Lopez isn’t creating a new dining experience for our residents he enjoys playing Jurassic world with his kids, reading, watching movies, and creating new food combinations.
