Amanda McQuaid
Assistant Director of NursingI have been a nurse for 10 years. I started as a CNA in a nursing home at age 16, which is what fueled my passion for the elderly. My nursing background is varied. I started with Cardiovascular Step down then transitioned to ICU and ER. I also worked for Hospice part time as a case manager. My long term care nursing career began in 2018 when I became the CNA instructor and Staff Development Coordinator for a LTC facility in KY. Since then, I also held the roles of Infection Control and QA Coordinator. My journey with Heritage began in March of 2022 where I started as Unit Manager. The best part of that job was being able to both counsel, lead and guide my staff, as well as being able to provide resident care and form relationships with families.
