Marshwood Center is a skilled nursing facility offering post-hospital, short-term rehabilitation as well as long-term and respite care. Marshwood utilizes the 'Easy Street Environments' rehabilitation program which has a unique set-up of an ATM, working apartment with front porch, car and more to allow for practice with real-life community situations. Our goal is to help patients regain strength and functional skill levels so they can return home as quickly and safely as possible. We accept Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurances. We are an AHCA Bronze Quality Award winner!

Daniel Stadler, MD, CMD
Medical DirectorPrior to coming to Maine, Dr. Stadler was the Director of Geriatrics at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Geisel School Of Medicine. Over the years, he has worked clinically in a variety of areas, serving as the Medical Director of four Skilled Nursing Facilities, managing a panel of geriatric primary care patients and running a consultative clinic for patients struggling with Dementia. Dr. Stadler received his MD from Case Western Reserve School of Medicine in 1998 and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in 2001. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Palliative Medicine and a Certified Medical Director. He has a long standing interest in the care of the frail adult.

Diane Price
Director of NursingDiane began her career in Geriatrics as a Certified Nursing Assistant while attending nursing school. She obtained her Wound Care Certification in 2010. Diane has experience in acute and sub-acute care. She has worked as a Nurse Manager, Assistant Director of Nursing and became Director of Nursing in 2016. Diane and the Nursing Team are committed to Person-Centered Care. She inspires her team to strive for excellence in all aspects of patient care.

Jane Campbell
Director of AdmissionsJane grew up in Lewiston and is a graduate of the University of Maine Orono. She has been at Marshwood since 2009. She started as a CNA and has held many positions over the years including, scheduling/payroll, central supply, human resources and is now our admissions director. Jane is dedicated to serving her community and will go above and beyond to make sure her residents stay is excellent.

Amanda Carroll
Rehabilitation Program DirectorAmanda has a Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences (2004) and a Master's degree in Physical Therapy (2005) from University of New England in Biddeford/Wesbrook, Maine. Amanda has several years of experience in the skilled nursing/long term care setting and specializes in treating patients with brain injury and dementia. She has a passion for geriatrics and is happy to have joined the Marshwood team in 2017.

Beth Barends
AdministratorBeth has dedicated her career to working in the health and human service field for over 30 years. She has a BA in Psychology and MS in Health Services Administration. She has most recently been the Administrator at Berkshire Healthcare facilities in Massachusetts. Prior to that she served as the Executive Director at St. Margaret's Center in Albany NY, a specialty skilled nursing facility for children and young adults. In 2019 she and her husband made the decision to live where they love to be and moved to Maine. She is delighted to have joined the Pine Point team in their pursuit of even greater excellence for the care and quality of life of our facility's residents. Person-centered care and exceptional customer experiences are high priorities for Beth as they are at the heart of what matters for us all. Outside of work she enjoys the beach, cooking, reading, gardening and time with friends and family.
