Tara Rollins, MS-HCA, NLHA
AdministratorTara started her journey at RiverRidge in 2005 as a CNA on a travel assignment. Tara worked here and other southern Maine facilities for 7 years before making RiverRidge her home. Tara continued to work as a CNA until 2015 when the scheduler position was offered to her. From there she found and explored opportunities for more learning. Between 2015 and 2019, Tara was able to dabble in central supply, HR, medical records/transportation, and activities. That is when she decided that becoming the Administrator was her calling. Tara enrolled in a bachelor's program and obtained her BS in healthcare administration in 2021 and was able to transfer to a sister facility to learn the admissions side of the company. Tara did not stay away for long though. Eleven months later the opportunity to transfer back to RiverRidge was open and that is what she did. Tara recently completed her AIT and master's degree in healthcare administration. Tara's passion for the long-term care population and brain injury population is evident through the daily tasks that she completes at the center. Outside of work, Tara has 2 daughters that she is always bringing to some type of sporting event or activity.

Professionalism
"I could visibly see, hear and feel the professionalism and your ability to handle my Dad's care from every single employee at RiverRidge. Entering RiverRidge was as if we had walked through a cloud and on the other side we felt the warmth and sincerity of the staff - as if we were family. We were, and still are, in awe."
- C.H., Great Meadows, NJ
Able to breathe and live again
"Because of the staff at RiverRidge, I am able to breathe and live again. I like to speak to people. RiverRidge has set up opportunities for me to speak at conferences about my brain injury. Speaking made me feel excellent...proud. The therapy I receive gives me a quality of life."
- D.R. Kittery, ME
This place is amazing!
Hailey, Lindsay, and Natasha are my favorite CNAs. They're always here for you when you're upset. They are nice kind people who care about us, and people's feelings. The first place I went they kicked me out after 6 weeks and they told me I'd never be able to walk again. My doctor in Portland sent me here and this place is amazing. They keep giving me a chance and never tell me I'm a failure and never give up on me. I'd never be as far as I am without the rehab staff here.
- Janice K.
Extreme Satisfaction and Admiration
I would like to express extreme satisfaction and admiration for the entire staff at RiverRidge for their concern and good care for me.
- Sherwin D.
Great reputation
I recently spent some time in your facility and came to personally understand why you have such a great reputation. There are a number of people who stand out. Nurses, Melissa Borden, Sarah, Diane Bouthot, Leslie, Gergana...I'm sure I must be forgetting someone, my therapists who helped me realize there could be life after stroke were Denise, Kelsey, Matthew, Kathy, Sherrie and Brett. All of these individuals need to be recognized since their compassion and skill cannot just be "learned", it's at the core of who they are and they are all pieces of the puzzle creating a picture of why River Ridge has the reputation it does.
